Kiavash R. Koko, MD

    Biography

    Kiavash R. Koko, M.D. is a general surgeon and clinical fellow in Advanced GI/MIS/Bariatric surgery.

    Dr. Koko received his M.D. from Drexel University College of Medicine followed by a general surgery residency at Cooper University Hospital. Dr. Koko has presented his research at multiple national conferences, and has several peer-reviewed publications in various surgical topics. His research interests now include clinical outcomes in esophageal cancer treatment, as well as surgical endoscopy for complications of bariatric surgery. 

    Dr. Koko is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
